Prescription News from Around The World : A vending machine where patients can pick up their prescriptions without speaking to a pharmacist has gone on trial in Sussex. The hi-tech machines have been installed at Sainsbury's stores in Haywards Heath and Crawley as part of a year long pilot. They are the first of their kind in the country and if successful will be introduced at stores across the country. The machines are mainly aimed at people who need repeat prescriptions. Customers will have to register and create a unique pin code to use the service or they can use their fingerprint as identification. More than 100 people have already registered for the service in Haywards Heath.
